Key Responsibilities Work on securing Azure Infrastructure through the design and implementation of security features for hardware and firmware systems Part of the Azure Silicon Cloud Hardware Infrastructure and Engineering team Design, build, and improve software systems that support the goals of the Firmware Engineer function. Translate product or business requirements into clean, maintainable technical solutions. Write high-quality code with appropriate testing, code review, and documentation discipline. Collaborate with product, design, QA, and peer engineers to deliver reliable releases. Investigate bugs, performance issues, and production risks with a strong root-cause mindset. Improve system reliability, observability, and maintainability through thoughtful engineering decisions. Contribute to architecture and implementation discussions with pragmatic technical trade-offs. Break down complex work into clear milestones and communicate status transparently. Refactor and simplify existing code where it improves long-term velocity and quality.
