Job application tracker

Keep the next step in sight.

A job tracker is a working record of your applications, not a promise of progress. Save the posting, track the status, and keep the details you need for the next conversation in one place.

A simple application routine

  1. 01

    Save the opportunity

Add the company, role, posting link, and job description before the listing changes or disappears.

  2. 02

    Record the application

Change the status after submitting. Keep the resume version and confirmation details in your notes.

  3. 03

    Update with real events

Move the record to Interview, Offer, or Rejected when you receive that update. Edit the notes as next steps change.

  4. 04

    Review your pipeline

Search by company or role, filter by status, and choose list, card, or board views in the dashboard.

Several applications at once

Avoid confusing two similar roles by retaining the original posting link and job description for each.

Referral-led applications

Keep the contact and next step in notes. The tracker can open a referral search, but it does not guarantee a referral.

Interview preparation

Use the saved requirements to prepare evidence-led stories and practice for the specific role.

Notes that help future you

Write a concrete next step such as: "Submitted through the company portal; used backend resume version; prepare the integration project for the technical round." This is more useful than "good company." Record a follow-up date in notes if needed; do not assume that a note creates an automatic reminder.

Keep private identity documents, passwords, and confidential recruiter or employer information out of your application notes.

Job tracker questions

What is a job application tracker?

A job application tracker is a record of roles you are considering or applying for. ResumeWorlds stores the company, role, status, posting URL, job description, and notes so you can review your pipeline in the dashboard.

Which statuses can I track?

The tracker supports Saved, Applied, Interview, Offer, and Rejected. Update the status when you have a real change in the application, not when you expect a response.

Does it apply to jobs automatically?

No. The tracker organizes your records. You still submit applications through the employer or job board and update the tracker yourself. It does not confirm that an employer received your application.

Can I tailor a resume from a tracked job?

If the record includes a job description, its actions include a resume tailoring option. Review the resulting suggestions against your experience before applying changes.

Are there application limits?

The dashboard shows the current free-plan slot limit and an upgrade option when that limit is reached. Review the dashboard and pricing page for current access rather than assuming unlimited tracking.
